About Alteon
Alteon is a Bengaluru aerospace startup developing autonomous fixed-wing aircraft for persistent maritime surveillance. Its design uses dynamic soaring—repeatedly crossing wind-speed gradients near the ocean surface—to harvest atmospheric energy, paired with onboard generation intended to extend endurance beyond conventional battery-powered UAVs.
The company is still validating the architecture through flight tests. It reported more than 200 tests in the month before its September 2026 financing and demonstrated repeated low-altitude dynamic-soaring cycles, but has not yet proved the stated goal of remaining airborne for months or a year. Korthos therefore treats the platform as developmental autonomous aviation, not an operational persistent-surveillance service.
