About Changan Automobile
Changan Automobile develops passenger vehicles, electric-vehicle platforms and production driver-assistance systems across the Changan, Deepal, Avatr and Nevo lines. Its Software-Defined Architecture uses centralized electrical hardware and service-oriented software to support upgradeable vehicle functions. Changan Pilot and newer SDA Pilot programmes combine perception, parking and navigation assistance with vehicle-wide controls; these remain assisted-driving systems that require driver supervision.
The autonomy stack is deployed through series-production vehicles and external sensor supply. Changan's Nevo E07 launched with two Hesai AT128 lidars in 2024. A subsequent agreement made Hesai the exclusive long-range lidar provider for a newer intelligent-driving platform, covering more than ten models across multiple Changan brands and an expected order volume above 1.5 million ATX units over several years. Changan owns vehicle integration, software and validation, while Hesai supplies the lidar hardware specified by that programme.
