About Copsys Technologies
Copsys’ Corrosion Integrated Detection System combines a protective coating with embedded electrical monitoring and active cathodic protection. The coating functions as a distributed sensing surface, identifying changes associated with damage or corrosion and applying protective current without relying on a separate network of exposed point sensors.
The system is intended to give operators a digital map of coating condition and emerging corrosion so maintenance can be directed to affected areas instead of following fixed inspection intervals. Its architecture also addresses biofouling and corrosion under insulation across ships, offshore structures and industrial assets. Copsys is developing the technology through maritime trials and was selected for NATO DIANA’s 2026 programme.
