About Rosenbauer
Rosenbauer is an Austrian manufacturer of firefighting vehicles, equipment and emergency-response systems. Its robotics work centres on the RTE Robot, a battery-electric tracked carrier designed to move equipment, hose and mission modules into hazardous areas while firefighters control it from a safer position.
The RTE platform can carry more than 625 kilograms, tow charged hose and operate attachments for firefighting, smoke extraction, ventilation, reconnaissance and logistics. Radio control reaches up to 200 metres, and an assistance package adds functions for navigation and operation. Rosenbauer launched the platform commercially in 2020 and delivered its hundredth unit to the Munich district in January 2025, alongside a development partnership with two local fire departments for testing accessories and operational improvements.
