About SK On
SK On was established in 2021 through the separation of SK Innovation’s battery business. It manufactures rechargeable cells and battery systems through a global production network, with automotive and energy-storage customers forming its established commercial base.
Its direct robotics exposure is narrower and developmental. In Korea’s standardized humanoid-battery programme, SK On is contributing cell and pack expertise to a consortium led by Yuil Robotics. The work covers high-power all-solid-state batteries, battery management and hot-swapping, followed by installation and safety testing on physical humanoids.
