About Zaofu Intelligent Technology
Zaofu Intelligent Technology is the Shanghai joint venture formed in 2025 by Hello, Ant Group and CATL to develop and commercialize Level 4 autonomous driving. It is the company behind the Hello Robotaxi programme, combining autonomous-driving research, vehicle-system development, fleet operations and service deployment within one operating entity. The three parents retain their separate mobility, digital-services and battery businesses.
CATL presented a Hello Robotaxi demonstration vehicle in Liyang in October 2025 and identified Zaofu as the venture specializing in L4 technology and commercial application. CATL contributes battery technology to the programme, while Zaofu develops the driving and operating stack needed to move from vehicle demonstrations toward a managed robotaxi service. The documented operating stage is active development and commercial demonstration.
