About Ultra-Heavy Material Handling System
Acieta's Ultra-Heavy Material Handling System uses a FANUC M-2000iA on a 160-foot linear track to serve Great Dane's trailer-coupler production. The robot moves assemblies between infeed, three welding cells and the paint line. Gravity tables and staging racks provide intermediate positions for squaring and holding work as machines become available.
Controls direct product flow according to weld-cell timing, paint-line timing and product type. The paint transport rails were extended to accommodate both robotic and manual loading. This links heavy-part transfer to existing production equipment, with staged work positions reducing unnecessary travel along the track and helping coordinate operations on 850-pound coupler assemblies.
