About Valve Body Machining Cell
Acieta's Valve Body Machining Cell uses a track-mounted FANUC S-900iW to tend four machining centres for Clow Valve. Dual grippers let the robot remove a finished component and load a new casting during the same visit, reducing the time a machine waits between parts. Inbound vision checks each casting's orientation before it enters the machining sequence.
The 60-foot track gives the robot access to the full cell, including three horizontal and one vertical machining centre. A central controller coordinates robot movement, machine activity and cycle timing. This arrangement connects palletised raw castings to multi-sided machining and finished-part handling, replacing repeated crane-assisted transfers and separate setups.
