About Cabinet Face Frame Assembly Cell

JR Automation's Cabinet Face Frame Assembly Cell uses two robots whose movements follow software-defined assembly data. The robots insert, reposition, fasten and re-grip frame components along flexible paths, accommodating different part combinations within defined wood-type and overall-size limits. The arrangement supports mixed production without a mechanical changeover between those combinations.

Controlled glue dispensing applies the required amount at each joint, while adaptive screw control and a low-friction work surface support fastening and positioning. The cell was designed to produce flush joints despite variation in the incoming parts. Its one-piece flow connects component handling, adhesive application and fastening within the same coordinated assembly process.
