About Umbilicus Leak Tester

JR Automation's Umbilicus Leak Tester secures a five-lumen medical tube in spring-loaded fixtures and seals both ends with purpose-built heads and fittings. An internally ported manifold carries numerous small valves in a compact arrangement, connecting each test path to the required pneumatic instrumentation.

Flow meters detect leakage between lumens, while pressure transducers monitor pressure loss during the external-leak test. Separating these measurements lets the machine check both isolation between internal channels and sealing to the surrounding environment. The fixtures maintain tube position through the sequence, and the custom seals establish the controlled connections required for repeatable testing of the blood-component-separation tube.
