An unnamed global Tier-1 supplier commissioned the Intelligent Robots division to design, build and deliver a fully automated assembly line for motor and power modules used in electric power steering. The line is designed for one operator and a 28-second cycle time, with flexibility to switch between different module models. Airtificial’s scope includes manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and turnkey delivery, scheduled over 22 weeks. The company is moving its Chinese headquarters and operating hub to 4,500 square metres in Suzhou Industrial Park, tripling its previous space. It had also signed seven other contracts in China and India in recent months for end customers including Renault, Nissan and Tata. The €1.8 million value applies to the newly announced steering-module project.
