Announced on 26 February 2025, the robot is designed to travel to a patient’s bedside for a remote consultation and carry supplies or portable medical equipment between locations. The company is targeting telemedicine and telenursing workflows that require staff to move communications equipment or retrieve materials. Remote clinicians interact through the robot’s audiovisual interface while its navigation system handles travel to the selected location. This gives hospitals a way to bring a specialist into a room without assigning a local staff member to push and position a telemedicine cart. The clinician conducts the consultation through the connection, and the robot supplies mobility and remote presence. A secure compartment supports movement of supplies, devices and medicines within the care environment. Ava also describes APIs for connecting the platform with healthcare systems and extending its functions. Combining transport with remote visits allows the same mobile system to support several routine workflows during a shift, with access and integration configured around the facility. Ava had already outlined tele-nursing and remote-care applications at HIMSS 2024, including collaboration around Cisco Webex. The healthcare launch builds on that telepresence work with bedside positioning and a transport compartment. VSee Health co-CEO Imoigele Aisiku is quoted in the launch announcement describing the intended use of remote specialists alongside on-site care teams.
