The programme covers Jetson edge computing in next-generation robot controllers, digital models of Comau robots in Isaac Sim and learning tools for vision-guided intralogistics applications. The controller integration will provide local computing for AI workloads alongside Comau's robot-control architecture. In parallel, industrial arms, collaborative robots and mobile robots are being added to Isaac Sim so developers can test equipment configurations and generate synthetic data in simulated environments. Comau is contributing SimReady OpenUSD assets to NVIDIA's SimReady Central library on Hugging Face. Comau is also using the software stack to develop its MI.RA machine-vision applications and control strategies for palletising and depalletising. Isaac Lab supports reinforcement learning for those tasks, Isaac Sim provides the physical environment, and discrete-event simulation models the sequence and flow of logistics operations. This connects learning an individual manipulation task with testing how that task fits into a wider material-handling workflow. The work spans Comau's manufacturing and intralogistics businesses, including wholly owned Automha and Invent. Automha supplies automated storage and retrieval systems, while Invent develops picking, sorting, material handling and warehouse-control software. These operations provide applications for the vision and simulation work across storage, production and distribution.
