Announced at CES Unveiled Milan on 21 October, the hub is targeted to become operational in Q4 2027. Two further facilities are planned, one elsewhere in Europe and one serving global markets. The company will collect data as GENE.01 humanoids perform industrial tasks, then recreate the environments and robot configurations as digital twins. Simulation will repeat those tasks across variations in layouts, objects, materials and operating conditions. Trained models will return to the physical robots for validation, with subsequent operating data feeding further development. AMD Helios is intended to provide computing and storage for physical and synthetic data, World Action Model training and parallel simulation. The planned data collection includes vision, motion, contact, force, proximity and temperature, drawing partly on GENE.01’s full-body multimodal skin. AMD Ventures previously participated in Generative Bionics’ €70 million seed financing. The company presented a functioning GENE.01 platform in July after introducing the robot at CES in January. Its industrial work includes a partnership with Fincantieri to develop humanoid welding for shipyards, with development and testing at Sestri Ponente. A 30 September memorandum with Eni covers evaluation of inspection, teleoperation and remote-assistance applications, alongside potential component and materials work. These programmes provide industrial settings for developing task-specific robot behaviour.
