Greenoaks led the Series B, following seed and Series A rounds led by Eclipse. Other backers included 515 Ventures and individual investors Garry Tan and Lachy Groom. The South San Francisco company combines mobile robots, a modular storage matrix and control software to move and store heavy loads in three dimensions. Mytra says its robots can transfer loads weighing up to 3,000 pounds between adjacent storage cells, including vertical movements. Software coordinates robot routes, inventory and retrieval through the structure. Mytra was founded by Chris Walti, who previously led Tesla’s Optimus programme and worked on factory robotics and logistics, and Ahmad Baitalmal, formerly responsible for factory software at Tesla and Rivian. Its system is designed to automate pallet and case movement using a repeating storage structure that can be configured for different facilities. The $78 million figure combines its financing rounds rather than describing one new round.
