NEURA and SECO Partner on European-Built Robot Compute

NEURA Robotics and Italy-based SECO have announced a strategic partnership to develop and manufacture compute modules for NEURA’s cognitive robot portfolio, including their 4NE1 humanoid.
SECO will design, engineer and manufacture the modules using Qualcomm Dragonwing processors. The partnership creates a European-built compute layer for NEURA’s robotics platform and supports their push towards scalable series production.
The modules will form part of NEURA’s distributed Brain + Nervous System architecture, which places sensing and compute closer to the joints and other parts of the robot where low-latency decisions are required.
The partnership comes as NEURA expands across both hardware and infrastructure. In June, the Germany-based company announced a Series C of up to $1.4 billion, backed by investors including Tether, Qualcomm Technologies, Amazon, NVIDIA, Bosch, Schaeffler and the European Investment Bank.
NEURA said the capital would support production scaling towards several million robots by 2030, alongside expansion of the Neuraverse platform and NEURA Gym training network.
NEURA has also broadened their robotics portfolio through recent acquisitions. In August, the company agreed to acquire Bosch Rexroth’s ACTIVE Shuttle autonomous intralogistics platform, with the business transferring to NEURA Mobile Robots from October 1. The platform will be integrated with NEURA’s AI technologies and Neuraverse infrastructure.
Less than two weeks later, NEURA Mobile Robots acquired 100% of ADLATUS Robotics, adding hundreds of installed autonomous cleaning robots, proprietary navigation software and an established commercial footprint across industrial and commercial environments.
