The financing, announced on 31 August 2026 and led by Energy Impact Partners, supports North American expansion and a second Massachusetts factory designed to produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes annually. The company reported US$15 million in bookings and plans for another 114 housing units over the following twelve months. Its production model combines software-driven design, vision-guided robotic work cells and human trades inside regional factories. Building sections are manufactured off-site and transported for installation, with designs adapted to local codes, climate and neighbourhood requirements. Reframe’s founders, Vikas Enti, Felipe Polido and Aaron Small, previously worked on Amazon’s robotics operations. The company raised a US$20 million Series A in 2025 to develop the microfactory model, which aims to reproduce a common manufacturing process near local housing demand. Its programmes include New England housing and rebuilding work in Southern California. The approach dates to Reframe’s early Andover factory programme in 2023, when it planned a 17,000 sq ft facility and projects with Arlington and Somerville. That early setup combined software-guided workstations with robotic fabrication. The latest financing funds a larger production stage while retaining the regional factory structure and locally configured building designs.
