Sharpa launches D01 teleoperated humanoid platform Date: 2026-09-28 Type: ARTICLE Desk: Robotics Topics: Humanoids, Dexterous Hands, Haptic Feedback, Teleoperation Deck: The 66-DoF D01 arrives with a tactile W02 hand and AE01 haptic teleoperation glove. URL: https://korthosrobotics.com/research/sharpa-d01-teleoperated-humanoid-platform Referenced profiles: Sharpa (https://korthosrobotics.com/ecosystem/company/sharpa-robotics) Sharpa has introduced the D01, a humanoid platform combining two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, Wave dexterous hands, whole-body electronic skin and a native teleoperation system. The company unveiled it alongside the W02 hand and AE01 data glove at IROS 2026. The D01 has 66 total degrees of freedom with its hands and weighs about 40 kg without its chassis. It uses NVIDIA Jetson Thor onboard compute. Each arm has a rated 5 kg payload, while Sharpa lists a maximum end-effector speed above 10.5 m/s and repeatability of ±0.2 mm. A four-layer electronic skin covers the body, sampling tactile input at 100 Hz with a stated force resolution of 0.2 N. The W02 hand weighs under 750 g and provides 21 active degrees of freedom, with tactile sensing across the fingertips, fingers and palm. Fingertip sensing spans 5 mN to 30 N at 1 mm spatial resolution. The hand is rated IP54 without a glove and IP67 with Sharpa's official glove. The AE01 teleoperation glove uses 22 encoders to capture hand motion and five fingertip vibration motors for haptic feedback. Sharpa lists fingertip-position repeatability below 1 mm, wired output at 500 Hz and wired latency of 5 ms. The glove is designed for robot teleoperation and first-person demonstration-data collection. Sharpa has opened the D01 for quote requests. It has not disclosed pricing, delivery timing or production targets. --- Have a robotics update Korthos should review?
