The company dates the new configuration to 19 August, ahead of its World Robot Conference appearance in Beijing. G1 combines a compact body with a wide joint range for walking, recovering posture and folding into a smaller shape. Its configurations offer different numbers of actuated joints and optional manipulation hardware, supporting experimentation in locomotion and robot learning. Unitree says the production revision follows several months of optimisation, with improvements to performance and exterior finish. It is an industrialisation step for the existing G1 platform rather than the introduction of a separate robot generation. At the conference, G1 appears alongside H1 and Unitree’s quadruped range. The production-version announcement concerns the robot’s design readiness; it does not provide a model-specific count of completed deliveries or annual factory output.
