The round takes the company's total funding to $43 million. The Santa Clara, California company develops autonomous outdoor robots for commercial property care. Its current platform, Viabot One, combines sweeping and debris removal with supplementary soft-security functions such as loitering detection and asset monitoring for retail, utility, corporate, healthcare and academic sites. Viabot says Viabot One now services 25 million square feet of commercial property and has cleaned more than 5.1 billion square feet cumulatively, according to its operations page. The robot can launch, sweep, return to its dock, self-empty and recharge without an on-site operator during routine cleaning cycles. Viabot lists up to six hours of operation on a charge, while the financing release describes hot-swappable batteries supporting 12- to 24-hour runs. The company sells the system through a robotics-as-a-service model that includes fleet monitoring, maintenance and support. Viabot’s product page describes a cycle in which the robot deploys, sweeps, self-empties, recharges and reports back, while the company’s support team monitors fleet health and dispatches technicians when needed. Viabot plans to use the new capital to expand sales and engineering, accelerate product development and continue improving its robotics-as-a-service offering and Viabot One. The company previously disclosed a strategic partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, which deployed its RUNO robots at Bay Area properties for sweeping and security services.
