The 4,300-square-metre site combines research, production and maintenance, including 800 square metres for robot assembly, storage and servicing. It supports the Calvin-40 industrial humanoid programme alongside the company’s medical exoskeletons. The company describes production capacity of one robot per hour and a longer-term ambition to manufacture one million robots annually. The million-unit objective is separate from the Paris site’s stated hourly capacity and is not achieved production. Calvin-40 targets heavy, repetitive material handling, using 3D vision, autonomous navigation and adaptive control; Wandercraft specifies lifting up to 40 kg. Wandercraft disclosed 12 industrial customers in September across automotive, logistics, retail, healthcare and defence. Renault’s June roadmap called for around ten robots by the end of 2026 and 350 across French and Spanish factories by the end of 2027, following testing at Douai. Those quantities remain planned deployments. The company developed its balancing and walking technology through medical exoskeletons before adapting it to factory work. The new site brings industrial humanoid and medical-system activities together as Wandercraft expands both businesses.
