R2Sonic 2020 sonar deployed in OceanAlpha SL40 autonomous survey
OceanAlpha integrated an R2Sonic 2020 multibeam echosounder into its SL40 unmanned surface vessel for simultaneous underwater and above-water surveying.

- The sensor suite also included a Valeport sound-velocity sensor, Velodyne 3D lidar, and SBG Systems inertial-navigation unit.
- During a Loire-Atlantique river field test, the autonomous platform generated high-quality 3D data of a bridge, riverbanks, and underwater terrain.
