Foundry Robotics has raised a $100 million Series A led by Marlinspike Partners and opened a 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Emeryville, California. The oversubscribed round includes Khosla Ventures, Red Glass Ventures, SE Ventures, Wing VC, Axiom Ventures, Hanabi and Zero Shot Fund. Proceeds will support the factory buildout, deployment of robotic AI models and recruitment.
Foundry’s manufacturing-as-a-service business owns and operates assembly facilities for defence and commercial customers. Its factory combines modular robotic cells with manufacturing staff, testing and digital production records. The company also works on product design for robotic assembly, simplifying manufacturing steps and making operations easier to repeat across different hardware programmes.
FoundryOS links robots, factory operations and cloud-based model training. The company trains models on assembly operations and feeds production experience back into them, aiming to reuse learned skills as cells are reconfigured. Target products include drones, underwater vehicles, ground robots, wire harnesses, rugged computers and satellite components.
Founded in 2026, Foundry says the Emeryville site expands its manufacturing footprint approximately twentyfold. CEO Adarsh Kulkarni previously worked at Ghost Robotics and led robotics at Scale AI; co-founder Emmanuel Lamacchia managed Tesla’s Model Y programme. The new facility brings factory operations, robotics development and manufacturing engineering together as the company expands customer production.
