4AG Robotics raises C$40M as mushroom-harvesting fleet approaches one million picks per week
Cibus Capital and Astanor co-lead funding for manufacturing and support as growers place deposits for additional harvesters.

4AG Robotics raised C$40 million in a Series B announced on 29 July 2025, co-led by Cibus Capital and Astanor. Voyager Capital joined existing investors InBC, Emmertech, BDC Industrial Innovation Fund, Jim Richardson Family Office and Stray Dog Capital. The Canadian company will expand manufacturing, field service and customer support as demand for its mushroom-harvesting robots grows.
Its systems retrofit into existing commercial mushroom farms, using AI-based vision, suction grippers and controlled movement to select, pick, trim and pack mushrooms. Cibus reported that the fleet could pick up to one million mushrooms per week. CEO Sean O’Connor said growers had placed deposits for more than 40 additional robots, representing future orders rather than completed installations.
4AG was active in five countries at the announcement date. Development priorities included punnet packing, disease detection and yield optimisation. The investor disclosure also referenced C$11 million raised in late 2024 and a C$17.5 million round in 2023.
