AGIBOT introduces Expedition A2 humanoid family for industrial applications

AGIBOT has introduced three Expedition A2 robots for interaction, flexible manufacturing and heavy-duty work. Revealed on 18 August alongside the Lingxi developer range, the family comprises the bipedal A2, wheeled A2-W and larger A2-Max.

A2 is designed for interactive services and appeared as a robot host during the launch. A2-W targets manufacturing, using two seven-degree-of-freedom force-controlled arms with six-axis force sensors for coordinated manipulation, physical teaching and contact-sensitive work.

A2-Max remains in development. Its launch demonstration showed it lifting a 40 kg equipment case, using a structure with linear leg actuators and high-torque joint modules. The company also described a 19-degree-of-freedom dexterous hand for the platform.

The robots share development work in actuation, perception, communications and control. AGIBOT’s AIDEA data system supports teleoperation, training and evaluation, while its proposed AgentOS coordinates skills from language instructions. Customer proof-of-concept work and planned commercial deployments are separate from completed production deliveries.
