Agility Robotics redesigns Digit for logistics work at ProMat

Agility Robotics has introduced a redesigned Digit for warehouse and distribution-centre work, with new hands, a head and eyes, and a partner programme for early adopters. The robot is appearing at ProMat in Chicago from 20–23 March, performing autonomous demonstrations in a replica warehouse cell.
The new end effectors are optimised for gripping and moving the plastic totes used in logistics. Its head and eyes are intended to improve interaction with people, while the bipedal body allows movement through spaces built around human workers.
Agility is opening a limited number of places in its Agility Partner Program, initially the route for purchasing the latest Digit. Participating companies will receive early access and work with Agility engineers to identify suitable workflows, beginning with tote movement and manipulation.
The programme combines site visits with application development, allowing warehouse operators to help shape later robot skills. ProMat demonstrates the redesigned platform in a controlled work cell as Agility prepares customer-specific deployments.
