Agtonomy raises $18M Series B to scale autonomy on existing agricultural equipment

Agtonomy announced an oversubscribed $18 million Series B on 28 October 2025, led by DBL Partners. Nuveen joined as a new investor alongside returning backers Autotech, Allison Transmission, Rethink Food and Black Forest Ventures. DBL’s Jake Harris will join the board.

The California company embeds autonomy software and services into tractors and implements through equipment-manufacturer partnerships. Its systems support remotely managed, task-driven work in orchards, vineyards, fields and managed green spaces, combining machine operation with fleet intelligence and workflow software. The approach gives equipment makers a way to offer automation on established machinery.

Agtonomy will use the capital to develop its physical AI platform, add equipment integrations and expand commercial deployments across agriculture and adjacent off-road applications. Nuveen’s participation brings an investor managing more than two million acres of agricultural land globally; that figure describes Nuveen’s portfolio.
