Aigen raises $12M Series A for solar-powered agricultural robot fleet
ReGen Ventures leads funding for Element robot manufacturing ahead of a planned spring 2024 farm rollout.

Aigen announced a $12 million Series A on 9 November 2023, led by ReGen Ventures with participation from NEA, Cleveland Avenue, Incite and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments. The round brought cumulative funding to $19 million and will support production of the company’s solar-powered agricultural robots.
Its Element platform combines machine vision, electric motors, batteries, solar power and LTE connectivity for autonomous navigation, mechanical weed control and crop analysis. Aigen planned to offer the robots as a service, with an initial launch across more than 20,000 acres of US farmland in April 2024.
The Kirkland, Washington company was developing a 7,500-square-foot manufacturing and R&D facility to build its fleet. Founded in 2020 by Kenny Lee and Rich Wurden, Aigen said it had demonstrated and integrated the platform’s critical technologies. The acreage and service date were rollout plans at the financing announcement.
