ANYbotics connects ANYmal to industrial field-service workflows
ANYbotics is linking ANYmal inspections to SAP Field Service Management so results flow into maintenance and asset workflows.
ANYbotics and SAP are integrating ANYmal inspection robots with SAP Field Service Management. Customers will be able to create an inspection task in SAP, assign it to ANYmal and receive structured inspection data for maintenance and asset-management teams. The March 30 announcement is part of SAP’s Project Embodied AI, which connects robots to enterprise business systems. ANYmal performs inspection rounds and captures multi-sensor data in oil and gas, chemical plants, offshore energy, cement, mining, utilities and other industrial facilities. At Equinor’s Northern Lights CCS facility in Norway, ANYmal performs autonomous inspections, including CO2 monitoring, at a site designed for limited staffing. ANYbotics says the deployment followed testing at Equinor’s K-Lab and used Equinor’s Flotilla fleet-management software and a facility digital twin for mission planning. ANYmal X is designed for hazardous oil, gas and chemical sites, with ATEX and IECEx certification for explosive atmospheres and protection for dusty and wet environments.
