Ati Motors announced a $20 million Series B on 23 January 2025, co-led by Walden Catalyst Ventures and NGP Capital. Existing investors True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners and Blume Ventures also participated. The company said cumulative funding exceeded $37 million and plans to use the capital for product development and expansion across North America and Asia-Pacific.
Its Sherpa robot family includes industrial tugs, pallet movers, bin movers and lifting platforms for internal logistics, using navigation technology adapted to changing factory environments. Ati reported its Sherpa Tug had travelled more than 500,000 kilometres across over 50 factories, an operating-history claim spanning sites rather than a single-machine endurance test. The company identified industrial customer sectors including automotive, appliances, aerospace and electronics.
Ati reported hundreds of Sherpa robots deployed across 40 manufacturers, including Forvia and Hyundai, with multiple scaled installations in North America. Its order book tripled in the fourth quarter of 2024 and it added nine clients. The company had established operations in Mexico and was expanding its North American headquarters in Detroit, using data from factory deployments to improve its autonomy models.
