Attabotics restarts robotic warehouse business under LaFayette Systems
The Calgary operation resumes following its September acquisition, retaining engineering and manufacturing staff while gaining access to LaFayette’s US automation businesses.

Attabotics announced the restart of its operations under LaFayette Systems on 10 February 2026, following LaFayette’s acquisition of the business in September 2025. The Calgary facility will continue to house engineering, manufacturing and business functions, supported by the new owner’s material-handling and warehouse-automation companies.
The company’s cube-storage system uses robotic shuttles that travel horizontally and vertically through a storage structure, retrieving containers for goods-to-person workstations. Its architecture places storage and retrieval within a compact three-dimensional grid and brings inventory to operators for order preparation. Attabotics introduced the technology in 2016 and has retained specialised engineering staff for its continued development.
Mark Dickinson will lead strategy and operations, John Hickman manufacturing and Derek Fortier supply-chain management. Art Eldred joins to lead sales and software, bringing experience at Vargo, Dematic and Intelligrated. The team’s stated priorities include reliability, customer support, technology development and commercialisation.
LaFayette supplies a broader integration and service network around the storage technology. Its businesses include LaFayette Engineering for conveyor and sortation controls, Mesh Automation for industrial robotics and machine vision, Century Conveyor Systems for design, installation and maintenance, and Kendale Industries for metal fabrication. That combination gives the restarted Attabotics operation access to US project delivery, controls expertise and field support alongside its retained Calgary product team.
