Booster Robotics introduces T1 humanoid research platform at WRC
Booster T1 makes its public debut with demonstrations of balance, coordination and dynamic movement.

Booster Robotics has introduced its T1 humanoid at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, which opened on 21 August. The company demonstrated ball kicking, push-ups and martial-arts movements as it presented the robot as a development platform for research and education.
The demonstrations combine balance, coordinated limb motion and recovery under changing body loads. Ball kicking requires the robot to transfer weight onto a supporting leg, while push-ups and martial-arts movements exercise whole-body coordination. These presentations establish the initial motion demonstrations rather than a deployed industrial workflow.
Booster was founded in June 2023 by Cheng Hao, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University. The company says its core team draws on Tsinghua’s Robot Control Lab and Hephaestus RoboCup team, bringing experience in humanoid control and robot competition to its hardware programme.
T1 follows Booster’s BR002 demonstration in April, which included turning and standing up. The company’s early strategy centres on providing robot hardware, operating software and development tools to researchers and developers working on embodied intelligence.
