Burro opens general availability for Grande 44 autonomous outdoor platform

Burro has opened general availability for Grande 44, its heavy-duty autonomous outdoor work platform. Units are shipping through direct sales and a network of 50 dealers across 17 countries. The announcement follows June preorders, an August production start and initial customer deliveries during the third quarter of 2026.

Grande 44 is designed for towing, material transport and vegetation management. Burro specifies 44 horsepower peak output, 18 horsepower continuous output, up to 6,000 lb of towing capacity and up to 1,500 lb carried on its cargo tray. Standard battery capacity is 10 kWh, expandable to 40 kWh.

Navigation combines 360-degree 3D lidar and stereo cameras. The platform supports Burro’s Cortador brush cutter, Sprayito spot sprayer and autonomous charging dock. Burro says its autonomy was trained and validated using field data and NVIDIA Isaac Sim, supporting deployment without infrastructure changes.

The Philadelphia company reports more than 800 robots deployed across its wider product range and over one million autonomous operating hours. Those machines work in vineyards, nurseries, berry operations, orchards and industrial sites. Grande 44 adds a higher-capacity vehicle to that established fleet and distribution network.
