D-Robotics raises $400M to expand robotics compute and software stack

The Sunrise chip maker says it is scaling into software and higher-compute infrastructure as its embodied-AI business moves into mass production.

D-Robotics has closed a $400 million Series C funding round to expand its robotics computing and software infrastructure. The company said the round included strategic investment from a major global internet company, institutional investors and follow-on backing from existing shareholders, without naming the investors.

Rather than building robots itself, D-Robotics provides the compute and development stack used by robot makers. Its platform includes the Sunrise chip family, RDK developer kits and software tools for humanoids, quadrupeds, home-service and logistics robots. The company says the new capital will expand the Sunrise portfolio across compute levels and extend its software across the robot-development chain.

The company's Sunrise S600, launched in November 2025, has been adopted by more than 20 embodied-AI customers within six months, according to the funding announcement. The list includes UBTECH, X Square Robot, Astribot, FOURIER, Booster Robotics and PaXini Tech. D-Robotics says most of those partner projects are already in mass production.

Across the wider Sunrise family, cumulative chip shipments have exceeded 8 million units. D-Robotics also said revenue grew several times year over year in the first half of 2026 as its embodied-AI business entered mass production.

The company is also building a broader development ecosystem around the hardware. D-Robotics says more than 100,000 developers and 500 universities across more than 20 countries have created hundreds of types of intelligent robots on its platform.

The new funding gives D-Robotics additional capital to push into higher-compute platforms and full-stack software for humanoid and other general-purpose robots.
