DEEP Robotics launches LYNX M20 wheel-legged industrial inspection platform

DEEP Robotics launched the LYNX M20 on 10 May 2025, opening global pre-orders for a wheel-legged platform intended for industrial inspection, emergency response and work in hazardous terrain. Its articulated legs and powered wheels combine rolling travel with the ability to negotiate stairs, confined spaces and obstacles.

The manufacturer specifies a 33 kg body, a 15 kg effective payload and an IP66 rating. It claims operation between −20°C and 55°C, traversal of single steps up to 80 cm, and approximately 2.5 hours of operation under load or up to three hours without load. Hot-swappable batteries allow battery replacement without shutting the system down.

M20 can change its leg configuration to negotiate narrow passages or climb larger height differences. A 96-beam lidar supports mapping, navigation and obstacle avoidance, including in darkness. The platform provides mounting interfaces and expansion ports for application-specific equipment, allowing industrial partners to equip it for inspection or other field tasks. The traversal and endurance figures are manufacturer specifications.
