Energy Robotics raises $13.5M after one million autonomous industrial inspections
Blue Bear Capital and Climate Investment co-lead funding for mixed-fleet industrial inspection software.

Energy Robotics announced a $13.5 million Series A on 7 October 2025, co-led by Blue Bear Capital and Climate Investment with participation from Futury Capital, Hessen Capital, Kensho VC and TADTech. The Darmstadt company will expand commercial deployment of its industrial inspection software across energy, chemicals, utilities and security.
The company reported more than one million inspections across five continents and over 32,000 hours of hazardous human work avoided. Named customers included Shell, BP, Repsol, BASF, Merck and E.ON. Those figures are cumulative company-reported activity and labour savings.
Its software orchestrates mixed fleets of robots and drones for visual inspections, thermal scans and leak detection. The platform integrates eight leading robot and drone systems, including hardware from Boston Dynamics, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and DJI, and interprets readings from different sensors.
Inspection data supports continually updated digital twins and maintenance workflows. Energy Robotics also describes language-model-based mission control, allowing operators to request inspection tasks through prompts. The company claims operating-cost reductions of up to 40%; actual savings depend on the site and inspection programme.
