Fixposition releases xFusion localisation software for NVIDIA Jetson

Swiss localisation specialist Fixposition made its xFusion positioning software available for NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules on 11 June 2025, allowing robot and autonomous-vehicle manufacturers to integrate its visual, inertial and GNSS sensor-fusion algorithms on their own computing hardware. The software estimates global position and heading when satellite reception or RTK corrections degrade, while users supply compatible cameras, inertial sensors and GNSS hardware. This extends xFusion beyond Fixposition's integrated Vision-RTK 2 sensor.

Fixposition said more than 150 robotics and autonomous-vehicle companies had integrated xFusion through Vision-RTK 2, covering autonomous mowers, road sweepers, security robots and mapping vehicles. It also identified two OEMs that had integrated or were preparing to mass-produce systems using xFusion on Jetson, for mapping equipment and robotic lawn mowers. The 150-plus figure is the company's reported integration base, not the number of Jetson-based production customers.

The release includes drivers, APIs, software libraries, reference designs and Docker containers to help manufacturers integrate localisation into their autonomy software. Running xFusion on Jetson lets an OEM combine the positioning software with its own sensor and computing design, while Vision-RTK 2 remains available as an integrated hardware option. Fixposition also cited a robotic-mower OEM that expanded its operational area beyond conventional RTK coverage using xFusion, although it did not name the customer or quantify the expansion. The release additionally marked Fixposition's entry into NVIDIA Inception; that programme participation is separate from a hardware-supply agreement.
