Galbot Opens ET1 Preorders After 200+ First-Day Orders
The 1.23 m biped extends Galbot beyond wheeled mobile manipulation, with more than 200 orders reported in its first 24 hours.
Galbot has opened preorders for their ET1 humanoid on JD.com, marking a shift from the company’s previous focus on wheeled embodied robots.
ET1 is a 1.23 m, 30 kg biped built around Galbot’s 100M scale motion foundation model. The company says the system can learn new movement skills through human interaction without requiring fresh motion-capture or motion-video collection for each task.
The robot also combines multimodal perception, real time reasoning and dynamic action planning for operation in physical environments.
Galbot says ET1 secured more than 200 orders within its first 24 hours, including more than 100 through JD.com.
This launch broadens Galbot’s hardware portfolio beyond the wheeled mobile manipulation platforms it has been better known for, adding a smaller bipedal form factor to its embodied AI stack.
Their earlier wheeled systems have already moved into retail and industrial deployments, making ET1 notable as an expansion into a new hardware form factor so this is not their first rodeo towards commercialisation.
