Gecko Robotics and NAES sign industrial inspection agreement worth over $100M

Gecko Robotics and power-plant operator NAES announced a multi-year agreement valued above $100 million on 27 February 2025. The arrangement could grow beyond $250 million if demand warrants. NAES reported 65 GW of generation under management, providing a large operating base for the partners’ inspection and maintenance technology.

Gecko will combine robotic inspection with its Cantilever software to assess physical equipment, identify deterioration and guide maintenance. The company collects measurements using climbing robots, drones, quadrupeds and fixed sensors, then combines the data into asset models used to plan repairs and reduce unexpected outages.

The partnership links that measurement system with NAES’ plant operations and maintenance expertise across thermal and renewable generation. Data from multiple facilities can support comparisons and maintenance planning across the network. The initial and potential expanded values describe the commercial agreement; service revenue will depend on delivery over its term.
