Zurich-based Gravis Robotics announced $23 million of additional funding in November 2025 alongside agreements and field activity with industrial groups including Holcim, Taylor Woodrow and HD Hyundai. IQ Capital and Zacua Ventures co-led the financing, with participants including Pear VC, Imad, Sunna Ventures, Armada Investment and Holcim. The company develops autonomy systems for earthmoving and heavy equipment, with reported operations across the UK, US, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
The Gravis Rack retrofit combines hydraulic measurements, LiDAR, cameras and GNSS with learning-based machine control. Its Gravis Slate tablet interface lets operators use site data and switch between autonomous and assisted operation. Applications include site preparation, stockpile management, trenching and loading trucks or screeners. The company reports productivity gains of up to 30% in its programme, rather than a guaranteed improvement for every job.
Gravis cited autonomous excavation with Taylor Woodrow at Manchester Airport and quarry-material handling with Holcim. It is partnering with Flannery to offer rental excavators fitted with its system, while equipment supplied through OEM dealer networks includes Develon machines deployed in the UK and with Kibag in Switzerland. The company reported activity in seven countries and will use the funding to grow its team, rollout capacity and network of manufacturers, contractors and dealers.
