Greyparrot raises US$27M Series B to scale AI waste analysis
The round follows more than one trillion company-reported waste-object detections and supports expansion in North America and Europe.

Greyparrot raised US$27 million in Series B funding on 28 July 2026, led by technology investor Omar Mir, to expand its waste-intelligence platform in North America and Europe and grow its AI, data-science and product teams. The company reported that its systems had detected more than one trillion waste objects across installations in over 20 countries.
Its Analyzer cameras sit above recycling-facility conveyor belts, identifying materials, products and brands as waste moves through sorting lines. Operators including WM, Circular Services, Veolia, Biffa and FCC use the data to monitor material quality and recovery. Greyparrot’s Deepnest platform supplies packaging-design information to brands including Unilever, L’Oréal and Kenvue, linking post-disposal observations to packaging changes and producer-responsibility reporting.
The distribution network expanded through Greyparrot’s February 2024 agreement with Bollegraaf. The recycling-plant manufacturer transferred its AI vision business and made a cash investment, a combined transaction valued at US$12.8 million that gave it a non-controlling stake. Greyparrot acquired the vision intellectual property and development team, while Bollegraaf became a worldwide distributor for Analyzer and a partner in retrofitting existing recovery facilities.
Greyparrot had also supported Biffa and FCC’s first-quarter 2026 compliance submissions, supplying AI-derived composition data for selected outbound material streams. The company’s longer-term target is to help abate more than one million tonnes of waste by 2030.
