Heven AeroTech raises $100M Series B led by IonQ
The hydrogen-drone developer reaches a $1B valuation and plans U.S. manufacturing and mission-system expansion.

Heven AeroTech has raised a $100 million Series B at a $1 billion valuation, led by IonQ with returning investors including Texas Venture Partners. Announced on 1 December 2025, the financing will expand U.S. manufacturing, hydrogen generation and logistics, and development of mission systems for the company’s fuel-cell-powered aircraft.
The Sterling, Virginia company develops long-endurance uncrewed aerial systems for defence, public safety and commercial missions. It reports flight endurance exceeding ten hours and range above 600 miles for its flagship Z1. The manufacturing and fuel-infrastructure investment is intended to support field operations as the company expands production and customer delivery.
The financing follows IonQ’s investment and technology partnership announced on 24 November. Planned work includes alternative positioning and navigation for GPS-degraded environments, quantum security and communications, and potential use of quantum computing for routing and sensor-data analysis. Heven intends to establish a quantum-focused engineering division to develop these capabilities with IonQ.
Heven had already acquired Zepher Flight Labs in April 2025, adding U.S. expertise in vertical-takeoff aircraft development and manufacturing. The Series B extends that industrial expansion with investment in domestic production and the hydrogen supply arrangements required to operate its aircraft. The company identifies U.S. Special Operations Command, combatant commands and allied forces among the demand sources informing its scale-up.
