Hurotics raises KRW25B Series A for soft wearable rehabilitation robots

South Korean wearable-robotics developer Hurotics has announced KRW25 billion (approximately $17.5 million) in Series A financing, bringing cumulative funding above KRW33.5 billion. The round was led by Atinum Investment, with strategic investors Daewoong, NAVER and Lotte alongside Mirae Asset Venture Investment and returning backers including Stonebridge Ventures, Industrial Bank of Korea, Aju IB Investment and Wonik Investment Partners. The company plans to expand hospital distribution, international markets and its data and software platform for wearable robots.

Founded in 2022 by Chung-Ang University mechanical-engineering professor Lee Ki-wook, Hurotics develops garment-like robotic systems that provide timed assistance during walking and rehabilitation. Its H-Medi medical exosuit combines clothing, battery and actuation hardware in a 4.5 kg wearable unit and uses IMU sensing to synchronise cable-driven assistance with the gait cycle. The company specifies up to 220 N assistance force and offers professional gait-analysis software; these are product specifications, not clinical treatment outcome figures.

H-Medi entered the Korean medical-device market in 2025, following the company's manufacturing-quality and product-certification steps. The latest investment combines healthcare distribution and technology investors as Hurotics develops its existing clinical system and wider wearable-assistance products.
