ICON raises $200M Series D to scale Titan robotic construction systems
The Austin company will use the financing to manufacture Titan systems, expand deployment and develop its next generation of construction technology.

Austin-based construction robotics company ICON has raised $200 million in Series D financing co-led by Baillie Gifford and funds managed by BlackRock, with participation from Capital Factory, CAZ Investments, Moderne Ventures, Moonshots Capital, Norwest, Overmatch, The Syndicate and Tiger Global, among others. The investment will support manufacturing and deployment of ICON’s Titan robotic construction systems, a new large-scale R&D facility in Austin, development of its Titan and Olympus technologies, and expansion across Texas, Florida, Washington, D.C. and additional US markets.
The financing follows ICON’s March 2026 commercial launch of Titan, a multi-storey robotic 3D-printing system offered directly to construction companies. The programme combines the printer, materials, BuildOS software, architectural tools, training and ongoing support. ICON opened reservations with a $5,000 deposit and targeted initial system deliveries for early 2027. The company claims Titan can produce wall systems for approximately $20 per square foot, around 40% below national industry averages, based on its internal cost modelling. These are engineering targets rather than guaranteed project costs. The new capital will fund production of the systems at ICON’s Austin manufacturing facility.
ICON reports constructing more than 270 homes and other structures across five US states and two countries, including its Wolf Ranch development with Lennar in Georgetown, Texas, and homes at Community First! Village in Austin. The company says it is on pace to quadruple revenue in 2026, a projection rather than a completed full-year result. Its shift toward selling construction systems to external builders adds an equipment-and-services business alongside its existing project delivery operations.
ICON’s government business, ICON Prime, has separately secured more than $370 million in awarded contracts covering military and infrastructure projects. In July, the company opened its first newly completed 3D-printed barracks at Fort Bliss, Texas, under a $62.8 million US Army programme for ten buildings accommodating up to 560 service members. The Army reported that the structures were printed in 58 days and that the project was delivered four times faster and approximately 9% below its initial cost estimates. ICON also holds a $67.9 million agreement for military accommodation at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and is developing lunar construction technologies through NASA’s Project Olympus.
The Series D brings ICON’s total reported funding to approximately $700 million at a $1.4 billion valuation, according to CNBC reporting.
