Kinetix AI Raises RMB500M for Full-Stack Humanoid
The Shenzhen startup is scaling KAIBot, KAI Hand, its data pipeline and embodied-AI infrastructure less than a year after founding.

Kinetix AI has completed more than RMB500 million (about USD75 million) in Angel+ series financing, according to LatePost’s report, as the Shenzhen startup moves to scale a full-stack humanoid business around KAIBot.
The financing included additional backing from Vertex Ventures, Fangguang Capital and Wanshi Capital, with China Renaissance serving as sole financial adviser. Kinetix says the capital will accelerate work across its data, model and robot stack and support commercialization.
Founded in Shenzhen in 2025, Kinetix is already approaching 200 employees, according to the report. Co-founder Tyler Zheng previously worked on whole-robot development at XPeng Robotics and was part of the core team behind IRON, including system integration for the latest generation of the humanoid before leaving XPeng.
Kinetix unveiled KAIBot, its first full-size humanoid, in April. Since then, it has been building a wider embodied-intelligence stack around the robot itself, KAI Hand dexterous hands, egocentric data collection, a world model and training infrastructure. Kinetix describes the system in more detail on its company platform page.
The current KAIBot has 117 degrees of freedom, while Kinetix is pursuing a highly anthropomorphic design intended for eventual use across industrial, commercial and home environments.
Alongside KAIBot, Kinetix has developed KAI Halo and its KAI EGO Dataset for first-person data collection, KAI Embodied AI Infra for model development, and SMASH, a high-speed control system demonstrated through autonomous table tennis.
