KNOWIN raises new funding as X1 moves toward production
The home-robotics company has raised several hundred million yuan as it prepares its foldable X1 for production.
KNOWIN has raised several hundred million yuan in an Angel+++ round, its fifth financing since the Shenzhen home-robotics company was founded in 2025. The exact amount was not disclosed. Securities Times reported the announcement on September 29.
A JD-linked fund led the round, with Zhengxingu Capital, Nanshan Strategic Investment and Walden Investment participating. KNOWIN says cumulative funding has exceeded RMB1 billion (about $149 million). The latest financing follows a RMB500 million (about $75 million) Angel++ round announced in August.
KNOWIN is developing the X1, a wheeled, foldable dual-arm robot for household tasks. It has seven degrees of freedom per arm, 23 total body degrees of freedom and a combined arm payload of 6 kg. The company says it folds to 40 cm or less for storage and combines vision, depth sensing and LiDAR for indoor perception and obstacle avoidance.
The X1 runs on KNOWIN's GLOW generative embodied-AI system, which links world generation, world models and behaviour learning to support longer household tasks. The company says the new capital will expand training data and model generalisation while advancing engineering validation and preparation for mass production.
KNOWIN's focus is consumer home robotics. It aims to develop a robot that can adapt to unfamiliar objects, layouts and tasks instead of relying on a fixed household workflow.
