Maxinsights raises $30M seed and launches MaxLoop for robot-training data
Peak XV leads the round as Maxinsights adds automated recording checks to its first-person data collection network.

Maxinsights has raised $30 million in seed funding led by Peak XV, according to Forbes’ interview with founder and CEO Yuguan Yuan. Tola Capital, South Park Commons, INCE Capital and Alumni Ventures participated. The company supplies human activity recordings for robotics model training.
Its network includes more than 5,000 contractors across six countries using head, wrist and chest cameras during everyday tasks. Maxinsights reports more than two million captured hours, including 1.5 million prepared for model training, and over 30 customers. Its data platform combines recordings with structured signals including depth, hand and body poses, object tracking and segmentation.
Alongside the financing, Maxinsights launched MaxLoop to assess recordings as they arrive. The system checks camera placement, whether a task was completed and whether the material is usable. Earlier feedback lets collection teams correct capture problems before producing further batches with the same faults.
Maxinsights is also developing MaxGlove with Genesis AI to synchronise video with measurements of grip force, object weight and contact changes. It targets one million hours of force data during 2027. These signals provide information about how people physically handle objects during the actions recorded by the cameras.
The company lists monthly collection and processing capacity of up to 450,000 hours. Its published workflow links task design, recording, quality checks and structured outputs, allowing customers to select material by environment, action and sensing requirements.
