Promise Robotics targets one million square feet of annual housing output at Calgary factory
The planned Calgary facility expands Promise’s operated robotic production service for homebuilders.

Promise Robotics announced on 25 February 2025 that it would install homebuilding production lines in an existing 60,000-square-foot Calgary warehouse. Operations were planned for summer 2025, with projected capacity for components representing up to one million square feet of housing annually.
The company combines industrial robot arms, tooling and software that converts digital building designs into manufacturing instructions. Components are fabricated offsite for subsequent assembly at construction sites. The Calgary expansion follows its Factory-as-a-Service operation in Edmonton.
Promise manages commissioning, automation software and the operating lifecycle for homebuilding partners. Its production systems can be installed in existing warehouses or temporary structures and relocated as regional demand changes, using local materials, supply chains and labour.
CEO and co-founder Ramtin Attar said the service is intended to reduce the capital and expertise builders need to adopt automation. Promise also identified future expansion opportunities in US cities including Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta. The annual housing-area figure is planned capacity, separate from the Calgary building’s footprint or completed homes.
