Robros opens IGRIS-C humanoid preorders at KRW150M
The Korean developer targets autumn deliveries of a compact humanoid with torque-controlled joints and five-finger hands.

Robros has opened preorders for IGRIS-C, a South Korean humanoid priced at approximately KRW150 million (US$111,000), with customer deliveries planned for autumn 2025. The July announcement describes a 150 cm, 52 kg configuration with 31 degrees of freedom and a five-finger hand included as standard. CEO Seungjun Noh positions the platform for use across research laboratories and industrial development.
The design combines low reduction ratio drives with torque-based control. Robros says this arrangement transmits motor output more directly to the joints and allows a compliant response to contact, supporting work around people and objects. The announced specifications include maximum torque of 150 N·m and a combined two-arm lifting capability of 6 kg. The standard five-finger hand is described as having 11 degrees of freedom.
The preorder programme follows the first public presentation of IGRIS at the Korea Robotics Society conference in February 2025. That earlier presentation connected reinforcement-learning-based walking with imitation learning for manipulation, establishing the locomotion and hand-control work behind the customer platform.
Robros plans to develop autonomous movement, two-handed tasks and more dynamic motions on the hardware. Its July roadmap includes running and jumping as future capabilities, alongside the joint control and contact response needed for manipulation. The compact dimensions are intended to support experimentation in narrow workspaces where researchers must coordinate whole-body posture, arm motion and hand contact.
