Tuesday Labs reveals Voxel home robot designed for tidying
Voxel combines household manipulation with character design; Tuesday Labs is taking refundable reservations for deliveries planned from 2028.

Tuesday Labs has revealed Voxel Series-1, a bipedal home robot designed to tidy rooms, fetch objects and help maintain everyday household routines. The New York company is developing both its manipulation capabilities and an expressive character, combining articulated limbs with a yellow box-shaped head and illuminated eyes.
The planned household functions include returning belongings to their usual places, fetching books or drinks, recalling where a misplaced item was last seen and watering plants. Voxel’s hardware includes seven-degree-of-freedom arms with actuated wrists, single-degree-of-freedom grippers, stereo RGB and wide-field vision, and Z-shaped legs with impact-aware feet. These features support reaching around furniture and handling objects in occupied rooms.
Tuesday works with illustrators, character designers and animators on the robot’s appearance and behaviour. Its product page presents audio and visual communication, onboard controls and an adaptive operating system alongside the mechanical design. The character work is intended to shape how Voxel moves and interacts during repeated daily encounters with people at home.
The company’s reservation programme lists an estimated price of $20,000 and planned shipping from 2028. A $200 refundable payment reserves a place in the first production run, with individually numbered units assigned in reservation order. Tuesday plans to confirm final pricing and delivery details when customers place their orders.
Founder and CEO Rosalind Shinkle previously worked as a staff robotics engineer on Boston Dynamics’ Spot Manipulation team, developing algorithms for the arm to inspect manufacturing lines and handle objects. Tuesday Labs was founded in 2023 and joined Y Combinator’s Winter 2024 batch, according to its accelerator profile. The home-robot programme applies that manipulation background to consumer environments, with character development forming part of the product from its introduction.
